I want one of these!

OK, two, if I'm being honest. What could be better than your own little fig tree in the back yard? Sounds like they're hardy, fast-growing and a good source of calcium. Yummy!

  1. I would die to taste fresh figs again. Do they really grow here? Lazy me, I will follow the link and see.

  3. LOL You are after my own heart!! My hubby and girls got me a Celestial Fig tree in Spring of 2010. My fig tree is barely over my head in height. LOL Last year it made 7 purple figs. I was not sure when they were ripe so the birds and squirrels beat us to them. (they sure knew when they were ripe!). This year my tree made about 20 figs... they are tiny (quarter sized) and purple colored but the flesh is pink. They were sweet and delicious! They were my first ever fresh figs. :) Can't wait til next year to see how many my tree makes! :)
